Questions
What do I need to run it?
A Windows PC. Sotana installs and updates the Claude Code and Codex CLIs for you; free models work with no account at all.
Do I still pay Anthropic or OpenAI?
Only if you use their models. Claude Code and Codex run on your existing Claude or ChatGPT plan, API keys bill to your provider, and free models cost nothing.
Is my code uploaded?
No. Indexing, embeddings and voice typing run on your machine. Only the requests you send go to the model you picked.
What happens to my files when an agent edits them?
Each run is snapshotted. You can review the diff, restore an earlier version or undo, whatever model made the change.
How does billing work?
Through Paddle, our merchant of record. $15 a month or $100 a year, managed or cancelled from your account page.
Can I cancel?
Any time. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
